Description: DOROT package deliveries bring warmth and companionship to older adults in Manhattan who are seeking social connections and may have limited mobility. Volunteers deliver a package and stay for a visit or make a friendly phone call to follow up. Sign up today to deliver a thoughtful, seasonal care package and connect with an older New Yorker.
How it works:
1. Pick up a Passover care package.
2. Deliver the package to an older adult.
3. Connect with the older adult by phone for a visit or friendly phone call.
Location: Check in will be located on East 82nd Street.
Schedule: This volunteer opportunity takes approximately 90 minutes and volunteers can choose a start time between 10:00 AM - 1:00 PM that works for their schedule.
