Calling all volunteers 18-24!

Join us on Saturday, December 3rd for a day of service and community clean-up!

The ONS (Office of Neighborhood Safety) Youth Leadership Council is hosting an opportunity for young people to come together, network, have fun, and help the community stay clean!

NYC Aging Volunteers can help make a difference and join in the effort! Lets support community members, including many older New Yorkers, by keeping our NYC neighborhoods clean!

Requirements:

• We are seeking volunteers between the ages of 18-24

• All volunteers must complete a free background check (invitations will be emailed)

• Volunteers should: 

           • Be comfortable standing for the majority of their shift

           • Be comfortable lifting 5 pounds

           • Dress appropriately for the weather and for physical activity (appropriate footwear, no torn clothing, etc.)

           • Complete "code of conduct" and "liability waiver" forms

Tasks:

• Raking Leaves

• Trash Collecting

• Sweeping

• Mostly outdoor cleaning and some indoor cleaning

Training:

• Volunteers will be briefed on tasks and safety measures upon arrival

• All equipment will be provided

Time Commitment:

• This is a single day of service: Saturday, December 3rd, 2022

• 11:30 AM - 3:00 PM: check-in and training begins at 11:30AM - Clean-up concludes at 3:00 PM

Arrival:

• Arrival Time: 11:30 AM 

• Further details regarding check-in location will be provided prior to December 3rd.
