Program Overview

The Unique Opportunities program allows volunteers to make connections through program, community, and collaboration.

Connect Through Programs - The NYC Department for the Aging has programs that welcome the opportunity to host volunteers. Our Unique Opportunities program connects volunteers to other community-based organizations across the city.

Connect through Community- Aging Connect has a host of community partners across the city looking for volunteers who want to give back within their neighborhood. From pantries to resource fairs, volunteers are matched/assigned to fun, meaningful, and engaging opportunities.

Connect through Collaboration -Our unique volunteer opportunities are an excellent option for volunteers who want to volunteer but cannot offer a short/long-term commitment. Opportunities can be virtual or in-person. These unique opportunities would be one-time events, activities, and beautification projects with community partners.

Each month new volunteer opportunities are posted based on need and upcoming events happening around the city. If you are looking for variety and fun in your volunteer assignment, click the Follower button, and someone will get back to you.
